Hillary Clinton surrogate Lanny Davis has initiated a petition to force Barack Obama to accept Hillary Clinton as VP. Mr. Davis should know that is a horrible move. Between Davis, both of the Clintons, and Hillary Clinton's campaign strategists, these 'experienced' political folks are just baffling. With so many bad moves in her campaign, you'd think with all their experience would know better. I'm not including a link to the petition here because it's such shigitty, I don't want it polluting my page, you have find it on your own.
I won't go into detail on all of the reasons why I think the Clinton Camp blew it but I will say that each wrong move proved how un-worthy she is to hold the position of POTUS.
Now, Davis, with his carefully crafted petition, violates one of the cardinal rules on negotiating --- taking it public. Davis is well aware that this type of discussion is done privately. To take this fight public only serves as fodder for media reports of Democratic Party divisiveness.
Barack Obama cannot accept Hillary Clinton as VP without appearing weak. Instead of strengthening the Democratic Party ticket; he would sound its death knell.
