Miami traffic

Traffic in Miami is horrendous. There's construction on every route that I can possibly take to work or to go home. It is beyond ridiculous. A typical 15 minute trip to work in the morning now takes 45 minutes.
Whe will the madness end? On my route, I get to see precious historical Miami areas bulldozed or paved over. How lovely. I won't even go into the decimation of the Overtown area to make room for condos and loft apartments that very few will be able to afford. That is definitely another blog topic for another time in the near future.
The traffic frustration is compounded by the number of nhorrible and rage-filled drivers. I know that the construction will end; the question is when?
