O.J. Simpson Friend Orchestrated Vegas Sting
Wednesday, September 19, 2007
As expected, the O.J. Simpson Vegas robbery case is getting crazier and crazier. It seems that auctioneer Thomas Riccio is accused of setting up Simpson. In an interview with Larry King, Riccio admitted to telling Simpson about the memorabilia in the possession of Bruce Fromong and Alfred Beardsley who interested in selling to Riccio.
Riccio said he expected Simpson to come to the room and that Fromong and Beardsley would turn over the goods to Simpson. He went on to indicate that he did not expect weapons to be involved but it is reported that police found weapons on Fromong and Beardsley also.
Riccio's criminal history, the fact that he sold the audiotape of the incident to TMZ.com for an undisclosed amount and received immunity makes the entire situation rather funky and foul.
