John McCain's attempt to make light of Barack Obama's recommendation that Americans check the pressure of the tires on their automobiles to help save energy. Instead of responding intelligently, McCain proceeded to send out tire gauges implying that the use of them was Obama's entire energy plan.

It is that kind of low brow campaigning that speaks volumes about McCain's character and why so many Americans have become disillusioned with traditional Washington politics. McCain is appealing to the least intelligent and least informed American voters. Perhaps he's going for the same voter demographic that Hillary Clinton's campaign tried to appeal to. And perhaps he's really trying to continue the Bush legacy.
