Hatin’ on the Obamas as They Charm the World [POLL]

Michelle obama2

Many folks in mainstream media have panned President Obama's performance during his recent trip to Europe. He has been called ineffective and pretty much blamed not only for the economic crisis in America but the fragile state of the global economy as well. Check out the interview of CNN's Fareed Zakaria.

The strangest thing is that as much as President Obama was criticized, the people of Europe were mesmerized by him. It may be more accurate to say that they are still mesmerized by him as their adoration of him was apparent during the 2008 presidential election.

The love affair with Barack Obama continues. To compound that issue, First Lady Michelle Obama was equally as charming and well received. Her interaction with the Queen of England was dissected and she was criticized for her attire, the gift given to the Queen and her so-called breach of protocol by touching the Queen.

What will the people in Europe and America likely remember most of all? Mrs. Obama's inspiring and heart-wrenching speech at Elizabeth Garrett Anderson School in London and the young girls who mobbed her just to get a hug. Those are the moments that really "touch" people. Speaking of touching, the Queen released a statement indicating there was no breach of protocol by the First Lady.

The more the media appears to "attack" the Obamas, the more they will endear them to the general public and generate doubt about their own journalistic integrity.

President Obama must be held accountable while he is in office but it does not serve America well to blame him for our current condition as many have tried to do.
