The Obama Economic Stimulus Effect Blesses Five Guys

President Obama at Five Guys Burgers & Fries

Since the President's golden touch seems to be more golden than Oprah's nowadays, the folks at a Five Guys Burgers & Fries in DC must be thrilled he stopped by for sustenance. Of course, he placed his own order and ordered for the crew filming him for a documentary.

This president is intent on living outside the White House bubble as much as possible. He likes to be around people. His security team must be going bonkers with this "regular stuff" the Obamas like to do.

Five Guys, which does have great burgers, must be a favorite of the First Family because the First Lady was also photographed at a Five Guys dining with staffers back in February. Of course, her visit was sans the film crew and as much hoopla.

The Obamas must also have an awesome workout routine because they seem to love burgers but stay in great physical condition.

The President does have some cleaning up to do. It seems it was leaked that he prefers other burgers to the burgers served at the White House. I'd love to attend that White House Kitchen staff meeting.

Oh yeah, the president ordered a cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, mustard and jalapenos. It's now unofficially called the "Obama Burger."

Did I mention the doubling of business at that particular Five Guys restaurant the President visited? Yes, that's the Barack Obama Economic Stimulus Effect at work.

Hatin’ on the Obamas as They Charm the World [POLL]

Michelle obama2

Many folks in mainstream media have panned President Obama's performance during his recent trip to Europe. He has been called ineffective and pretty much blamed not only for the economic crisis in America but the fragile state of the global economy as well. Check out the interview of CNN's Fareed Zakaria.

The strangest thing is that as much as President Obama was criticized, the people of Europe were mesmerized by him. It may be more accurate to say that they are still mesmerized by him as their adoration of him was apparent during the 2008 presidential election.

The love affair with Barack Obama continues. To compound that issue, First Lady Michelle Obama was equally as charming and well received. Her interaction with the Queen of England was dissected and she was criticized for her attire, the gift given to the Queen and her so-called breach of protocol by touching the Queen.

What will the people in Europe and America likely remember most of all? Mrs. Obama's inspiring and heart-wrenching speech at Elizabeth Garrett Anderson School in London and the young girls who mobbed her just to get a hug. Those are the moments that really "touch" people. Speaking of touching, the Queen released a statement indicating there was no breach of protocol by the First Lady.

The more the media appears to "attack" the Obamas, the more they will endear them to the general public and generate doubt about their own journalistic integrity.

President Obama must be held accountable while he is in office but it does not serve America well to blame him for our current condition as many have tried to do.

First Lady Michelle Obama Helps Needy in DC

Michelle_obama_miriam's

Whether you agree with their politics or not, you must admit that, the Obamas have changed the flavor of America. They really are the leaving, breathing version of the Huxtables they just have fewer kids.

It's not likely that their desire to serve the public and help those in need is fabricated. Neither Barack or Michelle Obama were born with a silver spoon in their mouth. They are hard-working, accomplished Americans who still remember their roots and that's refreshing.

It's almost unbelievable that the First Family is so much like many of the families I know. They still don't seem to have bought into the isolation of the presidency and restraint of constant security. They are the family that this country needs during this time.

While Michelle Obama's wardrobe may include more designer fashions than usual for her, she is still very much every woman. It was great to see her helping at Miriam's Kitchen in DC. I just can't imagine Cindy McCain doing the same thing without somehow seeming out of place.

Don't get twisted, I'm not implying that Cindy McCain's a bad person just that it would be difficult for her to relate to the financial issues many Americans are facing since she comes from American wealth.

Until our country's economic situation bottoms and then balances itself out, we need the encouragement and assurance of the Obama Family to help see us through.

First Lady Michelle Obama Looks Fabulous: Deal with it!

Michelle-obama-white-house-portrait

It’s such a shame that media air time has been wasted on the First Lady’s penchant for sleeveless ensembles. Some feel that the sleeveless look is too casual, and I understand that. There are others who think it’s no big deal.

The First Lady has awesome arms and legs. Actually, she has the total package so let’s just admire her for practicing proper nutrition and exercise rather than the foolishness about her arms on display.

I definitely prefer First Lady Obama’s arms to the overdeveloped arms of Madonna. When all is said and done, please, mainstream media, give us real news and not this fluff.

Will First Lady Michelle Obama Boost Sales for Pottery Barn the Way the President Helped BlackBerry?

First_Lady_Obama It has been reported that First Lady Michelle Obama will use Pottery Barn furnishings to decorate daughters Malia and Sasha’s bedrooms. Why this is such news is beyond me but I’m an fan of HGTV so I’ll go with it for a little while.

Mrs. Obama’s fashions and White House decorating choices are obviously interesting to some folks but far too much emphasis is being placed on matters that are not politically significant.

It’s obvious that the President and the rest of the First Family are changing Presidential culture. He is trying to live outside the bubble more than in and he’s demonstrating frugality by virtue of his decision to keep that ugly Oval Office rug when most presidents have replaced it in the past.

The world was abuzz when Michelle Obama wore J. Crew and Barack Obama uses a BlackBerry and chews Nicorette gum. Now Pottery Barn will be in the spotlight.

Surely, Mrs. Obama and her designer will select beautiful furnishings for the girls. Now, let’s get back to important news.

First Lady Michelle Obama Not Happy with Toy Company

First Lady Michelle Obama is not happy that the Ty Toy Company has produced dolls named after her daughters without the permission or consultation of the parents. The Ty Company makes Beanie Babies.

The dolls, "Marvelous Malia" and "Sweet Sasha" are not named after the first daughters according to a Ty Company spokesperson. Yeah, right. They also don't look like the girls either.

To my knowledge, First Lady Obama has made no public comment about the incessant merchandising of her husband but immediately addressed this Beanie Baby issue. It's unfortunate that the toy company produced the dolls but then to lie about it; not a good thing.

Regardless of Mrs. Obama's statement, the dolls will likely sell well. Put a picture of the Obamas on anything and it sells. So, here we have another installment of the Obama Stimulus Package. Watch the dollars roll in.
